Online scams in the pet space are more common than ever. The internet has opened the door to dishonesty and distrust. We recommend the following steps to take to avoid being scammed when looking to add a new puppy to your family.
- Never exchange money without meeting the puppy first. Sometimes deposits are necessary and if so, always use credit card. Most credit card companies offer some protection. Never do a wire transfer.
- Always visit the facility location. Never meet in a parking lot or street corner. You should always be able to see where to puppy lives.
- Often scammers will ask for deposit and then want more and more payments before seeing the puppy. Probably a scam.
- Peak Legacy Ranch prides itself on having an open-door policy. You can feel confident when visiting that you have made a decision you will be happy with.
We provide an elevated pet experience. We have over 30 years experience and knowledge matching puppies with the right families.
